A Message From Mike Denson

Denson & Associates, Inc., has been providing search and recruiting services for selected clients in the energy sector since 1985.  In that time, Denson & Associates has established an extensive referral network of contacts consisting of proven professionals in engineering, geosciences, management, operations, planning, and technology in the belief that top performers will refer other top performers.

Since undergoing re-engineering in 1995, Denson & Associates has placed hundreds of professionals in the oil and gas industry, both domestically and internationally, with dozens of client companies.  Our workflow and methodology allowed us to complete these assignments very efficiently, averaging only 4.3 interviews to the hire for our clients.  We attribute this success to a combination of factors:  a mutual commitment with our clients stressing the relationship and common goals, our organizational structure, a highly skilled staff, our methodology and process, and our extensive network of contacts.

We are somewhat unique in our industry--we are not an agency, we have no commissioned agents, and we are not a resume service.  We are a professional service firm, employing the same proven organizational structure as most other professional service organizations such as major law firms and management consulting firms.  All our employees are salaried professionals, specifically trained in their tasks.  This organizational structure allows us to place our clients needs first, better manage and allocate our assets, promote teamwork, and ensure quality control of searches.

Our search process, although similar to that of other search firms, is a well defined and documented process engineered to ensure consistency in the execution of the search.   This process is dependent to a great extent on the relationship between the client and Denson & Associates and places in your hands the resumes of candidates who have been extensively screened as to their qualifications, goals and motivations, interest in your position and your company, the reasonableness of their expectations, and their job performance and references.  It is a pro-active process designed to enable you to hire the candidate of your choice in the shortest possible time.
